Vermonters in Boston

This is my little boy, the true Vermonter complete with boots, flannel shirt and hat with earflaps.

So this weekend we made a trip down to Boston to go to the zoo. We had planned it out for weeks and were soooo excited because Isaac had never been to the zoo before. Here is a picture of one of our "getting pumped up for the zoo" preparations:

Well, we got there around noon (it's about 150 miles away) and we see a huge crowd of people standing outside the zoo entrance. It turns out that two of the zebras had escaped their enclosure and were running around the park. They had evacuated all the people and shut down the zoo. Sad! They kept telling us that they may or may not reopen and that they had no idea how long it would take...so, we waited for 2 hours before deciding to just go home. It was very disappointing. There was one cool thing about it though. I got interviewed by a lady from the Boston Globe and ended up being quoted in the newspaper.
